Goodsyard Plot 2

Eric Parry Architects has been commissioned to design a flagship commercial building for Plot 2 of The Bishopsgate Goodsyard masterplan. Integrated into the site's historic brick archways, it will provide 47,000m² of office and retail space, including 15% affordable offices and 25-30% co-working areas.

Our role is to inform the facade design, and assist the Architects in term of the solar performance of each design alternatives. Our services include:
 

• Touching base with the Architects regarding their architectural design intentions, and assessing the performance of current design.

• Based on the current design, we made suggestions for (1) glass size, (2) dimensioning shading elements, and we assessed the performance of integrating movable fabrics.

• Mapping a number of solutions that meet the set solar gains target, and discussing their impacts on view-out and daylight quality.
