Client:
FMDC
Location:
London, UK
Project Type
1. Office Buildings
Hill House will create a sustainable and healthy workplace for the future with access to landscaped terraces at every level. Significant tree planting on the curated terraces creates a vertical forest that climbs up the building, hosting wildlife and improving biodiversity.
At the top of the building, a rooftop restaurant and a cultural events space with extensive landscaped terraces will offer stunning views over London and add to the City’s growing network of destinations.

Our Contribution:
Inform Design was appointed to inform the façade design from an early stage. We aim to touch base with the Architects and advise the potentials and limitations of different façade schemes. In more details,
• Evaluate the effectiveness of different solar control mechanisms and their impacts on Architectural expression and daylight along the perimeter and balcony façades. We assess different (a) glass types and sizes, (b) fixed shading elements, and (c) potentially integrating moveable fabrics.
• Map the performance of several façade configurations to assist the Design Team in selecting the most suitable configuration for each façade.
